ELIXIR OF YOUTH - Sun Potion

BLUE MOON SLEEPY MYLK POTION

The way we feel is sustained by the manner in which we treat our bodies as sacred temples. It can really be so simple. A practice that I embarked on two years ago was simply shifting away from alcoholic beverages. No more wine, beer etc. all natural only. Why? Because it was an easy way for me to simplify and show worship to my temple. Creating potions soon after also became part of that same practice — something all natural that has become part of how I wind down at the end of a day.

One thing that I have come to value a lot in time has been consistency. It has assisted me in building my work and allowed me to see my growth. This relationship that I have developed with my yoga teaching has allowed me to consider consistency in other areas of my life. Creating nightly potions is an act of self care that, during the times that I am not consistent with it, I feel it.

After a long day of teaching yoga, practicing yoga and being active, my potion has become a method of winding down. Mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. It is a moment that I look forward to and it is easy, simple and rewarding. I began to experiment with The Transcendent Elixirs and found Mucuna Pruriens, Bacopa and Ashwagandha to be my favorites. The potion-making has become a ritual. So much so that my love asks me every night "are you going to make a potion tonight?!" It has become wholesome and grounding for everyone in the home.

Although I do not drink alcohol and the elixirs are made with an alcohol base, I am comfortable with that here — it is a very different thing from recreational drinking, and the amount in a few drops is small. I feel that in this journey we all have to discover what works for us and what we value. I value my wellbeing and honoring my being, because when I feel good I am able to share those high-vibrating frequencies with those around me. How do you give love to your sacred temple?

Frequently Asked Questions

What gives the potion its blue colour?

Butterfly pea flower powder, which turns oat mylk a deep indigo. It is purely botanical — no colouring.

What are the Transcendent Elixirs?

A line of concentrated liquid Sun Potion preparations. This recipe uses three — Ashwagandha, Mucuna Pruriens and Bacopa — one drop each. Explore the full Transcendent Elixirs collection.

Can I make it without oat mylk?

Any plant milk works. Oat gives the creamiest result and the truest colour against the butterfly pea.
