Di Tao Herbs
Di Tao herbs are Chinese tonic herbs, the cornerstone of Taoist herbalism. Di tao (also written dao di) means "region of origin": each herb is grown in the specific region of China where it has traditionally been considered finest.
Our Di Tao herbs include Astragalus, Eucommia, He Shou Wu and Mason Pine Pollen, each wild-cultivated in its Di Tao region and processed without solvents or additives.
In the Taoist tradition these herbs are taken in small amounts every day, as tonics for long-term balance and vitality rather than quick fixes.

Questions, answered
Di tao (also written dao di) means "region of origin." In Taoist herbalism, each herb is grown in the specific region of China where it has traditionally been considered finest. Di Tao herbs are the cornerstone of Chinese tonic herbalism, taken in small amounts every day for long-term balance and vitality rather than as quick fixes.
Each is wildcrafted in its Di Tao region. Astragalus and Eucommia come from high elevation in Yunnan Province, China. Mason Pine Pollen is single-origin and high-altitude, collected in Yunnan Province. He Shou Wu is wildcrafted in its Di Tao region of origin in China.
Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus, known as Huang Qi) is long revered as a premier Qi tonic. Eucommia (Du Zhong) is a classic Yang Jing tonic, traditionally valued for strength and vitality. He Shou Wu (Fo-Ti) is a Jing tonic and the classic Taoist hair-and-beauty herb. Mason Pine Pollen is valued as both a Jing and a Qi tonic, enjoyed as a daily tonic food.
A small amount every day. Astragalus, Eucommia and He Shou Wu: ½ teaspoon in warm water or tea. He Shou Wu also works well in elixirs and smoothies. Pine Pollen: ¼ to ½ teaspoon in water, tea or a smoothie, without high heat.
Without solvents or additives. Astragalus and Eucommia are 10:1 cold water extracts (Eucommia from the bark only, harvested without felling the tree), and He Shou Wu is a 10:1 extract of the prepared root. Mason Pine Pollen is processed with a cracked cell wall, a step traditionally used to make the pollen's naturally occurring nutrients more bioavailable.
Yes. Every lot is third-party tested, and each jar contains the herb and nothing else: no fillers, flow agents or added ingredients.
