Our Sources

Where our herbs come from

The places our herbs, mushrooms and foods are grown and gathered.

Di Tao region, China

Di Tao region

He Shou Wu is wildcrafted in its Di Tao region — the place the root has traditionally come from.

Zhejiang Province, China

Zhejiang

Sustainable freshwater pearl from Zhejiang, the largest freshwater pearl region in China. Levigated — ground in water, again and again, until only the finest powder remains.

Nara, Japan

Nara

Our matcha comes from a single family farm in the forested mountains of Nara. The leaves are shade-grown, kept whole in cold storage and stone-ground to order — the same farm for about ten years.

India

India

Ashwagandha root comes from small farms in Northern India, prepared as a cold water extract. Our moringa leaf is grown and shade-dried in India. Our mucuna and the three Triphala fruits are grown in India too, and the herbs in our Transcendent Elixirs are grown and ethically wildcrafted there.

Vrindavan, India

Vrindavan

Solar Rose Water is two ingredients: rose essential oil from Vrindavan, India, and purified water from the US.

Spring Mountain, California

Spring Mountain

Our Be Here Farm + Nature skincare is made by hand at a biodynamic family farm on Spring Mountain, between Napa and Sonoma.

Ghana

Ghana

Unrefined, fair trade shea butter, handmade by a women's group in Ghana. The shea nuts come from trees that grow wild across the West African savanna.

Ecuador

Ecuador

Anandamide is built on Arriba Nacional cacao, shade-grown in Ecuador, then harvested, fermented and sun-dried.

Western Australia

Western Australia

Bio-active Marri honey from the forests of Western Australia, where bee colonies forage on the flowering Marri tree. It is also the honey in our Transcendent Elixirs.

Our jars

Most of our powders come in our own cobalt blue jar — designed for Sun Potion, made from our own mold since 2016, and embossed with our name on the base. It's solid, heavy glass, made to be refilled and kept. Our Di Tao herbs and matcha are packed in thick violet glass: heavy apothecary jars that filter light, the kind most brands pass over for the cost, and the same glass we've used for nearly a decade. Reuse them, then recycle.
