The lassi is one of the great afternoon drinks — a traditional Indian and Ayurvedic preparation of yogurt blended with fruit, spices and rose, sipped between meals rather than with them. This is our variation on it: raw coconut cream and yogurt, strawberries, a little rose water, and a few tonic herbs stirred through.
It is pink, thick and faintly floral, and it lands best in the middle of the afternoon — the hour when you want something between a snack and a drink. Served, as always, in our favourite @fefostudiony ceramics, finished with a pinch of cinnamon.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a lassi?
A traditional Indian yogurt-based drink, often blended with fruit, rose or spices. In Ayurvedic practice it is typically enjoyed between meals rather than alongside them.
Can I make this dairy free?
As written it already is — it uses coconut yogurt and raw coconut cream. Regular yogurt works too if you prefer.
What does rose water add?
A light floral note that pairs naturally with strawberry and with Pearl. Start with a teaspoon — rose water is easy to overdo.
Can I use frozen strawberries?
Yes, and they make it thicker. Add a splash more water or coconut water to bring it back to a drinkable consistency.
