We gathered together to take photos, create videos, work together in the presence of good company. Hours went by working hard and we realized what we were missing: an elixir to help rejuvenate both our bodies and our spirits. It was the perfect opportunity, and we gathered some of our favorite herbs and adaptogens to create a blend, with a goal of also choosing ingredients that would provide some radiance beyond the present moment.
Enter two functional mushrooms, Lion's Mane and Cordyceps, traditionally used to support mental clarity and focus, oxygenation and warm Yang energy. We added in Pine Pollen, traditionally used to support endurance and circulation. Our sweetener of choice was the potent Bio-Active Marri Honey, a raw, pure honey from the forests of Australia with a high active oxygen factor and a deep, complex flavor, as well as being a potential prebiotic. This honey is so delectable, you will have to resist from eating it by the spoonful if only to make it last a bit longer, to be enjoyed in many drinks and not only a few sittings.
Last but certainly not least, White Dragon Matcha in full effect! This ceremonial grade green tea Matcha is made from deep green, soft young leaves from shade-covered tea shoots, picked, dried, steamed and ground. The whole leaf is used and makes a sacred, antioxidant + nutrient-rich tea which is the perfect pick-me-up without the jitters, delivering antioxidants, minerals and amino acids (L-theanine) with less caffeine than coffee.
This matcha was a welcome reward after a morning of hard work. It's great to have in the morning or as an afternoon tea time treat, since the coconut milk in combination with the honey was quite dessert like. This recipe makes a few cups full, so it is best enjoyed in good company. Invite your friends or family over, and take time to relax and enjoy a delicious drink. We are so busy busy frequently, that taking the time out to invite a friend over for a cup of tea and good conversation often gets overlooked or put on the back burner. Let this recipe inspire you to invite your friend over, make your loved one a thoughtful drink, take the time to slow down and see how much it benefits you and those around you that you are showering with love, good intentions and gratitude. You might just make it into a weekly or monthly routine if your schedule allows.
