THREE POTENT RECIPES FOR AUTUMN BY ELENA HIGHT - Sun Potion

THREE POTENT RECIPES FOR AUTUMN BY ELENA HIGHT

Every year when Autumn comes around, I realize it really is one of my favorite seasons. There is something so refreshing about the crisp morning air, the changing colors, and the transitional period that these months provide. I find it to be the perfect time to reconnect with myself and my goals.

Coming off of summer which is always go-go-go, I try to make it a priority when Autumn hits to slow down a little, appreciate the remainder of warmer days and cozy up during these cooler mornings.

Below are a few recipes highlighting my favorite autumnal flavors. I hope that they will inspire you to take some time during these months for these potions, creating life balance and finding joy in the little things.

Power Beauty Potion

Routines are everything, and morning coffee is a routine that most of us are highly committed to. Why not make your coffee a little more of a ritual? Upgrade your coffee by adding a sprinkle of this antioxidant-rich potion! Pearl powder combined with turmeric and the cinnamon in the pumpkin pie spice bring antioxidants and minerals, and Pearl is traditionally valued for supporting radiance. Mixing them together is like an oxygen facial in a jar, giving you one more reason to enjoy your morning coffee.

I like to make this blend over the weekend for the week to ensure freshness, so the recipe is for 5 days worth.

Ingredients

3 tsp. Sun Potion Pearl

1 1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

3/4 tsp. turmeric

Method

Add all ingredients into a small jar (I like to save my old honey and jam jars, they are perfect for this!)

Close lid and shake vigorously until completely combined

Add 1/2 tsp. daily to morning coffee

Pine Pollen Pumpkin Spread

There are few flavors as staple to Autumn as pumpkin! I am known to go a little overboard with pumpkin this time of year, but hey, it’s a time to celebrate right?! This is a delicious pumpkin spread that is literally good on everything and enhanced with Pine Pollen. Pine Pollen is traditionally valued as a supportive tonic during the transition into winter. So, cheers to more Pine Pollen Pumpkin Spread! Enjoy it on toast, as a dip, as a sauce on yogurt or a smoothie bowl… let your taste buds inspire you!

Ingredients

1/3 cup coconut oil

4 tbsp. canned pumpkin

2 tbsp. maple syrup

1 tbsp. sunflower seed butter (or nut butter of your choice)

1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

2 tsp. Sun Potion Pine Pollen

Method

Add all ingredients into a bowl

Whisk until thoroughly combined

Spread on anything and everything, get creative!

I like it on toast, as an apple dip, and as a topping for granola and yogurt.

Moringa Lemon-Ginger Tea

There is nothing that feels more like the changing of the seasons to me than sipping a warm cup of tea. I am a sucker for a cup of fresh lemon-ginger tea and Moringa takes this combo to the next level with all of its bio-available nutrients. A warming, comforting cup for the cooler months.

Ingredients

1 cup hot water

Juice from 1/2 lemon

1 tsp. grated ginger

1 tsp. Sun Potion Moringa

1 tsp. Bio-Active Honey

Method

Boil your water

Grate ginger (I like to grate it because the flavor and juices are more flavorful than when it is sliced)

Add lemon juice, ginger, honey and Moringa to hot water and stir until mixed

Enjoy!
