SUN POTION CASITA X SHIN GALLERY X SPROUTCRAFT CREAMERY - Sun Potion

SUN POTION CASITA X SHIN GALLERY X SPROUTCRAFT CREAMERY

This past weekend in Santa Barbara, in a traditional Spanish casita built in the 1890s, an intimate art pop-up event was held in collaboration with Sun Potion and NYC-based Shin Gallery.  In this small but mighty house hung the works of Pablo Picasso, Congo the late painter chimpanzee, John Graham, Carla Prina, Darrell Mackenzie, Ray Materson, Carmelo de Arzadun, and Sister Gertrude Morgan, among others.

These incredible artists demand further reflection and we highly recommend immersing yourself in the artists' history, works and time periods. Each piece was carefully chosen by Shin gallery owners Hong Gyu Shin and Stavrula, who curated the most wonderful collection especially to be shown to the Santa Barbara community.

Edible art was created by plant-based Chef Chris Rayman of Sproutcraft Creamery, with a variety of nut cheeses and vegetables fermented to perfection.  A colorful salad with Sun Potion-infused dressings was served, and homemade beet kombucha was flowing with Sun Potion Transcendent Elixirs added in.

The gathering was a special event that has come after a year of virtual events, and was a very welcome reopening. Visitors gathered around with family and friends on Friday and Saturday nights to hear a conversation between Sun Potion founder Scott Linde and Shin Gallery owner Hong Gyu Shin (these live conversations are available on Sun Potion's IGTV).

The idea of this event was to gather in a space with high vibrational art alongside adaptogenic food and drink for a full mind and body experience. The success of this event comes from all of those involved and the Santa Barbara community who was open to this modern and contemporary exhibit mixed with alchemy for the ultimate pop-up experience.
