SUN POTION CASITA X SHIN GALLERY POP-UP EXHIBITION - Sun Potion

SUN POTION CASITA X SHIN GALLERY POP-UP EXHIBITION

Sun Potion Transformational Foods is pleased to collaborate in an exclusive popup exhibition with New York City based Shin Gallery from May 13-16, 2021. Featuring paintings by Darrell Mackenzie, Pablo Picasso, and Congo, the exhibition aims to curate an intimate experience inside an alternative space - a traditional Spanish casita.

The four-day event intermixes Sun Potion’s desire to service the planet with Shin Gallery’s commitment to promote cutting-edge artists. Georgian-based artist Darrell Mackenzie’s dynamic work comments on art history, philosophy, politics, and theory; all with the intent to create absurd and otherworldly universes. Mackenzie has held solo exhibitions at the Venice Biennale, Tate Gallery St. Ives, Sprengel Museum, among many others. In the second gallery, a brilliant 1933 Pablo Picasso painting of his acclaimed lover Marie-Thérèse Walter, is displayed amongst work by Congo – a chimpanzee in which Picasso was an avid collector.

An array of Sun Potion’s transformational tonic herbs, superfoods and plant offerings will be placed amongst a curated selection of museum-quality artwork. The unexpected pairings permit the viewer to partake in both a physical and visual experience. Plant-based, local Chef Chris Rayman will be serving adaptogen offerings on Friday and Saturday evenings following a conversation at 5 pm with Sun Potion founder, Scott Linde and Shin Gallery owner Hong Gyu Shin.

Please note, we will be taking the necessary precautions to ensure visitors’ safety. In adherence to public guidelines, masks and social distancing will be required.
