Can you combine lions mane with sinemet ?

Hi there! We are not doctors and therefore cannot offer medical advice. We have read some research that some people with young onset Parkinson's have taken Sinemet along with Lion's Mane, among other things. We recommend speaking with your healthcare practitioner to find out what is best and safe for you!

how do you incorporate your powders into baking? How do you determine how much to put in that is still an effective dose per serving?

For baking, we recommend using the serving size listed on the jar to determine how many servings you would like to be included in your dish. If you are using them in a bread or a cake, you might want to use 4-5 servings, but it also depends on the size of what you are baking. If you are adding a powder to a dessert as a topping, you can use 3-4 servings or less depending on the flavors and desired look/texture. It really is up to you. For stronger flavored herbs such as Ashwagandha, you may want to start with a smaller serving size and try adding more the next time you cook with it. There is no right or wrong way, but we would suggest starting with smaller portions. We also recommend reading the Sun Potion Journal and seeing how the herbs have been incorporated into other recipes! Check out the Alchemy section of the journal for recipes of all kinds!

Hello! I have a weak kidney Qi by nature and have some major bags/ puffiness under my eyes my whole life , I also want to be an older mother and would like to try next year when I am 39. I need something that will help with both the bags under my eyes and allow me to have a healthy pregnancy and increase the chances of me being able to hold the baby. Please let me know any recommendations. Thank you! Thank you for writing in! A few herbs to support healthy Qi are Astragalus, Reishi, Ashwagandha and He Shou Wu. He Shou Wu and Reishi may be the two best options to help with both revitalizing your energy, supporting your immune function and helping to replenish Qi.  One herb that helps to nourish women's sexual function is our Shatavari Transcendent Elixir. Moringa is another wonderful plant that is said to help breastfeeding mothers, and it is also full of nutrients, minerals and vitamins that make it an incredible food to incorporate. Hello Sun Potion, Two questions: Do you have advice for nausea caused by perimenopause? And, do you have a suggestion for someone diagnosed with West Nile Virus and trying to recover from it? Thank you!

Hi there! First and foremost, we are not doctors and therefore are unable to give medical advice. We can offer a few suggestions for further research and a few herbs which may help to support you during this time. We recommend speaking with your healthcare practitioner, and none of the suggestions below are intended to take the place of any medical treatment or medical professional's advice. Moringa leaf is reputed to have benefits for women during perimenopause, and is full of bioavailable vitamins, nutrients and minerals. For further research into herbal remedies for perimenopause, we would like to direct you to this article by one of our favorite publications Conscious Lifestyle Magazine on Natural Remedies and Herbs for Menopause, which discusses both perimenopause and menopause. Two gentle immune tonics are Astragalus and Reishi mushroom.

Where is Ashitaba grown? Aslo when you say wildcrafted what does that mean?

Hi there! Our Ashitaba is sustainably wild harvested in Taiwan. Wildcrafted means that it was grown naturally outdoors without human intervention and without the use of any chemicals or other harmful pesticides. They are essentially foraged plants. Plants that are wildcrafted are subject to different environmental stressors that can help the plants grow to be full of more nutrients and phytonutrients that plants produce when allowed to grow to maturity in the wild. Since they are subject to the natural environment without human intervention or coddling, it is thought that wildcrafted plants are also more resilient, strong and more potent botanicals. Some say that the energetics of the wilderness can be felt and captured in the essence of wildcrafted plants. Plants that are truly wildcrafted are also essentially organic. There are sets of wildcrafting guidelines available online.

What would be your best approach to helping with aging skin?

Our recommendation for supporting healthy skin would be Tocos, He Shou Wu, White Dragon Matcha and Pearl. These four are great for supporting skin health at any age. White Dragon Matcha and Pearl can also be used in a homemade face mask, as well as Chlorella. Click here for a White Dragon Matcha + Pearl face mask recipe. For topical skin nourishment, we recommend our Shea Butter and Solar Rose Water. Shea Butter can be melted between the palms and is gentle enough for most skin types to apply directly to face, hair and body. Solar Rose Water is hydrating and calming and is wonderful to use on hot days, after a shower or bath, and poured directly into a bath for aromatherapy.

Hello! I was just gifted the green set. I’m trying to boost my immune system and regain my energy post COVID. What’s the best and easiest way to use these supplements? Thanks! Hi there, what a wonderful gift! One of our favorite (and easiest) ways to use all of the items in your Green Set is to add them to smoothies! Another option is to enjoy them as a hot or warm tea: Making a delicious White Dragon Matcha tea adding Moringa and Ashitaba is a wonderful trifecta. Chlorella you can add directly into a glass of water in the morning to help your body lightly detox. You can also add any of these into your own homemade salad dressing!
