SEASONAL WHITE DRAGON MATCHA LATTE

Nutritionist Kristin Dahl shares a recipe for a delicious Matcha latte with Ashwagandha and Bio-Active Honey! It is an adaptogenic delight that is sure to warm you up both this winter and anytime of year.

The rhythms of nature guide all that we do. Our lives are influenced by the rising and setting of the sun and the moon, and the changes in temperature from day to night and from season to season. Our bodies, minds and spirits flow with the energies of nature. As we observe and experience seasons in nature around us, we experience them within us as well. Living with an awareness of the energetic state of your environment supports thriving health throughout the year. In autumn, there was a shift in energy that signified a time to cut back and, like the shedding of the autumn leaves, to rely on and build our roots in preparation for winter. Now that winter is upon us, we want to keep incorporating warming foods that will sustain our health through these cooler months.

This adaptogenic White Dragon Matcha latte is made with replenishing Ashwagandha and nourishing ghee, it’s perfect for those mornings when you need something uplifting, yet gentle and restorative. It’s also especially beneficial for those who may be sensitive to highly caffeinated beverages and is the perfect option to support a transition off of caffeine as well.

This grounding elixir is loaded with all-star ingredients to elevate your morning or midday. Learn more about the benefits below.

Below are some of the incredible benefits of...

Matcha

Matcha is loaded with antioxidants that protect against oxidation in the body and help to prevent premature aging. It also has a thermogenic effect, which can help boost metabolism and promote weight regulation. Matcha is high in the amino acid L-theanine, which helps to boost immunity and calm the body by increasing alpha wave activity in the brain. It’s simultaneously elevating and mind-balancing.

Ashwagandha

Used in Ayurvedic medicine for centuries, this adaptogenic herb helps to strengthen the adrenals and calm the mind. Ashwagandha improves resistance to stress and helps to regulate cortisol production, supporting the aging process and increasing vitality. Consuming it in conjunction with Matcha makes for a clear + calming caffeinated beverage.
