When we demand too much of our bodies during transitional times, our brain and our physical sanctuary can respond with depression, anxiety and physical ailments.
The past year I have put my body through SO MUCH.
Never stopping, always on the go.
Sun Potion mushrooms and herbs have been life savers. Being able to connect to the gifts of Mother Earth, calling on to the gifts from nature for healing and holding has truly been the shift I needed.
I went off Birth Control about 7 months ago and it has been an intense ride with my skin, my emotions and my sleep.
During this time I have also had issues with mood swings, some days being better than others.
Shatavari has been a life saver for my acne, cramps and any PMS symptoms leading up to and during my moon cycle.
I also add this to any coffee, tea or water I consume through out the day. I take it consciously as I need it.
I moved to a new apartment this week, and MAN did I need some sun from potions. I worked from home today and recreated my favorite Matcha Lemonade recipe. This Matcha Lemonade reminds me of sunnier days, warm weather, happiness and it gives me just the right amount of energy and Vitamin C. I add my elixirs to this as well for an added boost of joy and balance.
White Dragon Matcha Lemonade for Joy, Balance, and Energy with Mucuna Pruriens & Shatavari
3-5 organic lemons depending on how tart you would like your lemonade (I used 4 lemons)
2-3 tbsp. Organic Maple Syrup (I use Trader Joe's Organic Maple Syrup. It makes everything taste like candy, and you only live once so add as much as you want.)
1 heaping spoonful White Dragon Matcha* by Sun Potion
*This Matcha is ceremonial grade, made from shade-grown baby matcha leaves making its taste smooth and less bitter than regular Matcha. If you're sensitive to caffeine, please add less.
Rolling your lemons on the counter to make them juicy and tender
Cut them in half for squeezing
You will notice you will have lots and lots of seeds. It is okay, it is just part of making sun in a cup
With a spoon take out the little seeds and put them to the side
Add your maple syrup to the lemon juice, proceed to cut the citrus with some water. Add about 1/3 of a cup of water to your lemon juice
In a separate cup add hot water to your Matcha powder and stir
Mix. Mix. Mix.
If you want to be cute about it add a slice of lemon to your cup to be fancy
Lastly, sit on the couch, your favorite chair, your bed, the roof, or in nature
In Joy...with GRATITUDE.
Told ya it tastes like candy.
