CHOCOLATE CHAGA LATTE - Sun Potion

CHOCOLATE CHAGA LATTE

At My Beautyfuel Food we love potions that support well-being inside and out. Rich in antioxidants, minerals and magnesium, this blend is a warming, grounding way to begin a slow morning.

The ingredients in this latte are traditionally valued for supporting radiance and a steady, calm kind of energy.

A note from Sun Potion:

Chaga 'mushroom' is a pre-mushroom fungus that grows on trees, forming a symbiotic relationship with its host. The most prized forms of Chaga grow on white or golden Birch trees, where a wide spectrum of nutrients and enzymes concentrate over a 15-20 year period of maturity. That slow growth is what allows the fungus to draw from the tree without harming its host.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chaga is considered a Chi Tonic and has long been valued as an adaptogen. Chaga carries high levels of B-Vitamins, flavonoids, enzymes, minerals and phenols, and contains some of the highest known concentrations of antioxidants of any food, such as Melanin. It is also a rich source of Zinc and Germanium.

Our Chaga is sustainably and ethically wild-harvested from Birch forests in Canada. Harvesting it this way helps protect the health of the trees it grows on.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Chaga taste like in a latte?

Earthy and a little coffee-like, which is why it sits so well with raw cacao. Sun Potion Chaga is not caffeinated.

Can I use a different milk?

Yes. Oat milk gives the creamiest result, but any plant milk works. The medjool date is doing the sweetening, so adjust it to taste.

What does He Shou Wu add?

He Shou Wu is a Chinese tonic herb traditionally valued in daily practice. Here it is stirred through at the end and dusted over the top.

Can I drink this cold?

Blend it with cold oat milk and pour over ice. The coconut oil emulsifies best when the milk is warm, so blend it hot first and chill it if you want a smoother texture.
