APHRODITE FACE MASK

“Her lips tasted of sweet nectar... her hair, spools of silk, and her beauty the essence of a mermaid...”

Aphrodite was the Greek goddess of love and beauty, associated with doves and myrtle trees. In a face mask that emulates that scene and evokes those feelings, visionary/ Goddess Sophie Haber has created an exquisite clay-based, adaptogen-rich mask with Sun Potion Solar Rose Water, Yin Power and Pearl to activate the goddess energy (and glow) within all of us!

This is a soul-soothing facial mask that summons our inner Aphrodite! She's within us all, just quietly awaiting her spotlight. I invite you to plan out a desirable date with yourself, yes just you and all the parts of you! Include this Aphrodite mask within this date and allow your goddess essence to arise! Let yourself be quietly drawn to her spirit, you may be surprised at the ways she's invoked. She may have you singing to the roses or baking bread amongst the buzzing bees... Whatever it may be, trust her, play with her, feel her, and radiate her sensual nature! She is us, we are she!

Ingredients

1/4 cup rolled oats

1 tbsp. French Green Clay (or white clay if skin is more sensitive)

1/4 tsp. Sun Potion Pearl Powder

1 tsp. Sun Potion Yin Power

4 tbsp. dried herbs ( roses, lavender, chamomile, yarrow, 1 tbsp. of each)

Sun Potion Solar Rose Water

1 tsp. honey

 Method

Pulse oats, powders, and herbs in a blender or coffee grinder
Then with a ceramic or wooden spoon (no metal as clay and metal do not work well together) mix the clay in. This will be your final dry product and I recommend storing this in a jar in your bathroom!

~ To Use ~
Place about a tablespoon of dry mask with about 5 sprays of Solar Rose Water Hydrosal. Then mix in about 1/2 tablespoon of honey or more if you prefer the consistency to be more runny, less if you prefer more firm.
Apply mask to freshly cleaned face, and use a damp washcloth (preferably warm to open pores) or steam your face with some favorited dried herbs to prepare for mask! (elderflower, yarrow, rose, lavender, calendula are some of my favourites)
As you are massaging your mask in, envision what you are letting go of, what you are washing away to feel more aligned to your inner goddess. This may be a vision, a word, a song...
Let this mask elope with your skin for about 15-20 min and remember you're on a date with yourself!! I personally love adorning myself with this mask as I soak in the bath eating dark chocolate, fresh flowers floating about, candles, and alluring french music serenading me! Yes Indulge!

Sophie is a storyteller in the many shapes and forms that mold from her passions. She is inspired by her travels, the wilderness, and the senses. The first cocoon of storytelling came through her photos as she would weave together these elaborate tales through imagery. As her world began to expand and her feet took her places deeper into the unknown her experiences became stories. Words found rhythm and took shape. Having studied alongside midwife and School of Shamanic Womancraft teacher, Jane Hardwick Collings her world for the sacred was seeded. She finds her essence through connection and deeply listening to others she sits circle with. Honouring these cyclical thresholds of life she is inspired to be of service to these rites of remembering. More recently, Sophie has dived deep into the world of writing. With the inspiration and grace of author, writer, and circle facilitator Janet Lucy she has blossomed her passion to write. She has become a Certified Writing Circle Facilitator and is excited to sit circle with others who feel called.
