Why Do we use "Levigated" Pearl?
Our Pearl Powder is "Levigated" meaning it is micro-ground to nano-proportions for optimum bio-availability. We source it from sustainable, freshwater farms. This technique now used is known as levigation, where high grade pearl is ground in water using a circular motion until the fine powder becomes suspended in water. Once the water is removed, it is separated from the powder from non-suspended heavier powder. More water is added and this process is continued until all the pearl is extracted (goes into suspension). This process allows the pearl to become a bio-available source once dried and this “levigated” Pearl powder is almost nano-sized and is thus very easy for the human body to absorb.*
