What is the best option or acne/rosacea skin?

What is the best option or acne/rosacea skin? I have been suffering from it for a couple years and want to heal it. I am almost certain it stems from anxiety/hormonal imbalance as I have a daily healthy diet. The only dessert I have is vegan icecream while other than that I eat organic local vegetables and meats. Hi there and thank you for writing in! A topical option that we offer is Shea Butter, a pure and unrefined skin food that helps balance skin pH, may reduce fine wrinkles & assist in healing conditions such as sun damage, blemishes, psoriasis, eczema, acne, severe skin dryness, chapping, scrapes, burns, skin allergies, fungal infections & more. Pearl powder is another great option to support natural collagen production alongside even and clear skin, and you can add this to smoothies and other recipes, as well as using it in face masks (you can find face mask recipes by browsing the Sun Potion Journal!). The adaptogen Ashwagandha, Ashwagandha Transcendent Elixir and Reishi mushroom are great options to help support reduced stress levels which may help with reducing anxiety. He Shou Wu is another wonderful option, and this herb may support your kidneys which can, in turn support healthy skin, hair and overall well being. We recommend starting with our Shea Butter topically and adding one or two of the above herbs to your morning tea or into face masks to start!

Do you recommend elixirs over powders either in general, or for specific potions?

Hi there! A few of the Transcendent Elixir herbs are currently offered only in tincture form, which are the Shatavari Transcent Elixir, Bacopa Transcendent Elixir and Triphala Trandcendent Elixir. All of the Elixirs are triple extract formulas, and this special trifecta is formulated to deliver the herbs in a super bioavailable form. We recommend trying the Transcensent Elixirs, but if you would rather not have a tincture which includes trace amounts of alcohol per serving, you can try the powder form.

Does it (Ashwagandha) increase testosterone level in females? is it safe for hirsutism?

Does it increase testosterone level in females? is it safe for hirsutism? Hi there! Ashwagandha is an adaptogen that aims to support hormone balance and whole body harmonization. We recommend consulting your health care practitioner or an herbalist if possible, to find out the best herbs for your specific needs. Though Ashwagandha has been reported as sometimes increasing testosterone levels in men, it is meant to bring balance and homeostasis to the body. Adaptogens bring things to your body as needed and should not create an imbalance, though each person's body is different and unique and may respond differently.

I was wondering if it is okay to drink Anandamide at night time before bed, or will it keep you up?

Hi there, Anandamide is a beautiful choice to incorporate in a nighttime tonic. Ashwagandha is one of the herbs in this blend which may promote more restful sleep. It does have some spices that can be awakening but are also stress relieving and thought to be good for your metabolism while you sleep if ingested at night.

Hi, is it ok to take multiple products of yours at the same time? Or should some not be mixed?

Hi there, we love mixing more than one product into daily drinks and tonics. Many of these herbs, adaptogens and mushrooms work synergistically together providing even more support! We also offer a few blends that we have specially formulated for specific benefits, such as Green Adaptogen, Yin Power, Anandamide and Prash.  This year we are hosting live workshops on our Sun Potion Instagram where we will be sharing more information on the herbs. Please stay tuned for one of these that will give you the opportunity to learn more about these transformational foods!

What would you recommend for alopicia?

Hi there! We recommend He Shou Wu, a rejuvenation tonic which may support healthy hair and regrowth, but its always best to consult your practitioner and an herbalist if you have more questions before trying this tonic herb. Thank you for writing in!

hi there my father has osteo arthrits is there anything you can recommend - thank you

We recommend both Pearl and Eucommia. Pearl has strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and helps to support the body's natural collagen production, even and clear skin, strengthen bones and support the nervous system, healthy sleep cycles and Shen (Spirit). Eucommia contains bio-available latex and may support the kidneys, joints, connective tissues, lower body and whole-body flexibility.

what would you recommend for chronic fatigue syndrome?

Hi there! One herb we recommend is Ashwagandha and Ashwagandha Transcendent Elixir to help battle chronic fatigue and may support lowering cortisol levels, which are produced by the body when under stress. We also recommend Reishi, the queen healer mushroom, which may help with stress relief, immune support and longevity.

Can I take anandamide while nursing?

Hi there! We recommend asking your health care practitioner or an herbalist before taking adaptogens while nursing, to find out what is best for you and baby. We can also refer you to Minka Robinson, a family acupuncturist and herbal alchemist working in Santa Barbara, California, who works with us and focuses on fertility and pregnancy/breastfeeding questions. She can advise you on what herbs may be best during this time. We invite you to contact Minka and set up time to talk through her website, minkarobinson.com. Thank you for writing in!

Hello! I am really interested in the Yin Power supplement but suffer with PCOS (excess of androgens)...

Hello! I am really interested in the Yin Power supplement but suffer with PCOS (excess of androgens) and thought maybe it is not a good idea as it could boost testosterone? I suffer from facial hair, anxiety and acne... What should/shouldn't I take please? Hi there, and thank you for writing in! Since Yin Power is a blend that includes some herbs that are good for hormone balancing, we would recommend it as it may support you, though everyone's needs and bodies are different. We offer the Yin Power in a smaller Travel Ally size so you can try it for a few weeks and see how your body responds. We do also recommend speaking with a health care practitioner or an herbalist to find out what is best for your specific needs. One herb we want to highlight also is our Shatavari Transcendent Elixir, which may support reproductive health and has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine as supporting female reproductive health.
